I know... it's been a long time since I've updated this page. But I've got a pretty good excuse: I got married. Sahar and I are settling down into our new married life. It's been great so far! :-)
Our honeymoon in Spain was a blast. It is a beautiful country. We came back tired from all the sight seeing, but now, we are ready to go back for another couple of weeks. I guess we'll have to wait a couple of years until we go back to Europe. The plan was to visit Portugal next year, however, my brother Sergio will be getting married in the Summer. So, we'll have to wait until 2004 to visit my home country.
Things are very busy as usual. Sahar and I are looking for a home. The apartment is starting to feel too small and we want to move into our own place. However time is at a premium since I'm teaching a class at the University of Windsor for the Summer. We'll see how quickly we can find a home...
This will be the last journal entry for the wedding website. In the future, you'll be able to find tidbits of information on me and Sahar at my main website.

Sahar and I would like to ask you to please remember to return the reply cards by the end of this week. It is very important that we have an accurate count of the number of guests. If you have not replied yet, please take a moment to do so over the next couple of days.
Sahar and I really appreciate it!

This weekend, Sahar and I finalized the last of the "big" wedding preparation tasks -- we got a florist. After visiting a few shops and being very disappointed with their attention and knowledge, we returned to the first shop. Jean's Flower Shop Inc was terrific. Jennifer gave us all the attention in the world and really helped us with the flower selection. She had some great ideas and was invaluable. We definitely recommend them!
We also had our brothers and my dad go in to get measured for their tuxedos. The only person that still needs to be measured for the tux is Sahar's Dad. This will be taken care of by the end of the week and we'll be all set with formal wear.
At the hall, we met with the coordinator to go over all the details. We still need to confirm a couple of things, but we now have a pretty good idea of how everything will be laid out.
As mentioned in the last post, Sahar had another hair and make-up trial. This time, she was much more pleased with the results. So, Sahar now has a hairdresser and make-up artist for the wedding!
We keep plugging away on the smaller tasks. This week, Sahar is planning to finish up some crafts. I will be booking the train and bus transportation for Spain. Until the next update...
